MOLTEN MALEIC

Maleic anhydride (MAN) is a very reactive molecule due to its particular chemical structure.

The material has a ring structure with three double bonds. For this reason it can be used in numerous different applications. The main application for MAN is in unsaturated polyester resins (UPR). These are used to make tough plastics, which can be used in the construction, automotive and shipbuilding industries. Other important applications are in lubricants, water treatment chemicals, foodstuffs, pharmaceuticals, softening agents, herbicides and pesticides.

Liquid maleic can be delivered in road tankers or containers, which are well insulated and can be heated.
